This is one of the first coffees bought directly at auction by Falcon Specialty themselves, contrary to the traditional Kenyan export system; where multinationals are the main buyers who offer the lots to importers with added costs. Falcon has done this in a bid to increase transparency for the buying process, as well as reduce price volatility for farmers.
