PROCESSING

All cherry is hand sorted before floating to remove defects. The cherry is de-pulped and fermented in concrete tanks for around 12 hours. The coffee is then washed, where it is floated down grading channels before being given a final rinse. The parchment is hand sorted once more before being dried on raised beds for 30 days.

TRACEABILITY

This lot was sourced through Raw Material; a social enterprise where 100% of the profit they generate goes to producers. Raw Material work with the Muraho Trading Co. in Rwanda, to help affliate co-operatives increase quality and fetch higher prices.
