Akagera W.S.

PROCESSING

After delivery to the Akagera W.S., the cherry is hand-sorted and floated to check for density. The cherry is pulped, before being dry fermented for 12 hours. Parchment is soaked for 8 hours in clean water. The coffee is fully washed before being graded. Finally, the parchment is dried on raised drying beds.

TRACEABILITY

Sourced through Sucafina. In Rwanda, Sucafina co-partners with Baho Coffee. Formed in 2013 by Rusatira Emmanual, Baho started working with Akagera W.S. in 2020, and offers several educational, financial and agriculture services to farmers, alongside several social programs for marginalised groups.
