Our City site on Upper Parliament street is where it all started. This cosy little Grade II listed building is where we began our coffee roasting journey back in 2016. Since then demand for our coffee has grown, and production has moved to our dedicated roastery and HQ in Sneinton. These days, Cartwheel City is where we showcase the very best of our current coffee offering!

At Cartwheel City we serve specialty coffee roasted by us in Sneinton, along with specialty teas, hot chocolates and cold drinks. A seasonal brunch and lunch menu is available 7 days a week, including vegan and gluten-free options. On the counter you’ll find freshly-baked artisanal cakes, buns and pastries. And on the retail shelves: bags of Cartwheel Coffee, brewing equipment and supplies. Our baristas are known for their friendliness and expertise, and are always happy to provide recommendations!

Cartwheel City has a variety of tables suitable for individuals and groups of up to 6 people. The atmosphere here is cosy and relaxed, full of plants and of course our signature ‘But First Coffee’ tiling. There is a small outdoor seating area, perfect for watching the street life, as well as a few sheltered tables under the building’s archway.
