This lot is grown at elevations between 1,700–1,800 masl at the Karumandi Factory, part of the Baragwi Farmers Cooperative Society (BFCS). Registered in 1953, the Baragwi FCS is one of the oldest coffee cooperatives in Kenya. Karumandi is one of 12 wet mills managed by the cooperative in Kirinyaga County.

The Baragwi FCS is dedicated to promoting the economic and social interests of its members, supporting them in securing the best possible prices for their coffee.
