Situated in the northern province of Kayanza, Gitwe sits between 1900-2100masl, spreading from the main access road all the way to the washing station which serves the producers of the area. This lot represents 637 producers, who farm the roughly 40,000 coffee trees, all intercropped with other produce used to supplement their income. Coffee from Gitwe is processed at Heza W.S., a remote washing station at 1960masl.
