Izuba W.S

This lot represents the hard work of 313 female producers from the Ishurwe Women's Group. Ishurwe means "flower" in Kirundi. These smallholders are spread across the hills surrounding Izuba at an elevation of 1,500–1,700 masl in Kayanza Province, Burundi. Their harvested cherries are processed at the Izuba Washing Station.

Sourced through Raw Material. Raw Material works with local partners in Burundi. These companies are ethically aligned, focused on distributing profits more equitably to producers, and paying station staff well above the government set market rate. This season, Izuba employees were paid 25% higher than local stations; 33% more than the national average.
